Local context for EmQuartier: postcode 10110 · near Phrom Phong BTS station. Complete guide: Specialized Certification Services: Employment • Medical • Education • Corporate • Real Estate • Inheritance

Topic 01 · Pre-booked appointments at embassies and VFS/TLS/BLS centres

Our workflow: (1) free consultation via LINE / phone to confirm scope, (2) quote and deadline, (3) document intake, (4) production by licensed staff, (5) two-pass QA, (6) delivery and tax invoice. Engaged parties track status 24/7 via reference number. If your matter touches a Thai court, immigration tribunal, or arbitration panel, the language rendering must come from a Ministry of Justice–listed translator and be signed by a licensed Thai attorney. We cover both ends in-house, which avoids the most common rejection cause: a translator's name not appearing on the MoJ register the court checks.

Topic 02 · Lawyer-certified true copies

Medical record language conversion for international insurance claims (Medical Report, Hospital Bill, Diagnosis Letter) requires terminology-specialised translators familiar with MeSH, ICD-10, and CPT codes — notarised and MFA-stamped on delivery. Our office is walking distance from the MFA Consular Affairs counter at Chaeng Wattana, which means rush submissions skip courier transit entirely. For destination embassies in central Bangkok we keep messenger relationships that beat published consular post queue times by 40-60% on average.

Topic 03 · Accounting and financial statements for cross-border business

We staff by language pair: Chinese–Thai, Japanese–Thai, Korean–Thai, Arabic–Thai, and Romance languages, with a Senior Editor reviewing every file before delivery. Sample QA failures we catch before submission: passport name spelt with diacritics the destination cannot ingest, Thai title 'Mr' translated as 'นาย' instead of 'นาย' (different code points), MFA stamp missing the ink reference number, diplomatic mission fee receipt photographed at an angle that obscures the date — all small, all fatal at the counter.

Topic 04 · Confidentiality and personal data (PDPA) handling

Corporate case holders receive net-30 credit, wholesale pricing, a dedicated Account Manager, an online ticketing portal, and monthly KPI reports — fully invoiced and withholding-tax compliant. Foreign applicants regularly ask whether they need a Thai national co-signer for any of these workflows. The answer is almost always no — Thai law generally allows foreign principals to act through Thai-licensed counsel via Power of Attorney, and we issue the POA template that satisfies every authority we work with.

Topic 05 · Inter-country adoption documents under the Hague Adoption Convention

Diplomatic mission authentication is the last link in the chain. We hold standing slots at 35 major Bangkok embassies, cutting the 5–10 day queue down to 2–3 business days. Corporate applicants receive net-30 credit, monthly KPI reports, dedicated account managers, and a single ticketing portal where every active matter is visible to authorised staff. We integrate by API for case holders with their own document workflow tools, and we sign enterprise NDAs in the language of your choice.

Topic 06 · Cross-border corporate document stack — Apostille + Embassy combo

Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days for most documents. Files that need MFA authentication add 2–4 enterprise days. Same-Day rush is available at +100% with prior booking. We document everything for repeat business. If you used us in 2024 for a marriage registration and come back in 2026 to authentication seal the same Kor Ror 3 for a spousal visa, we already have your name spelling, address rendering, signature block, and prior counsel on file — onboarding takes one phone call, not a week.

Topic 07 · Comparison of client options

Service fees follow the quote; standard turnaround is 1–3 business days. Rush 2–4 hour service adds 50–100%. Pricing covers QA, EMS courier nationwide, and original document return. Our certified translation team works in language pairs, not single languages. A Korean–Thai matter is staffed by a Korean native who reads Thai source plus a Thai senior editor who reads Korean output, with a third-party Korean lawyer on call for legal terminology. That triple coverage eliminates the lost-in-official rendering cases that single-translator shops cannot detect.

Topic 08 · Notes for corporate and institutional clients

Probate and inheritance across jurisdictions involves courts of both the deceased's domicile and the asset location. We coordinate between Thai and overseas counsel, producing officially recognized documents and translated copys end-to-end. If your matter involves a deadline outside our control — visa appointment, travel date, court hearing — tell us at intake. We can usually back-plan the entire chain to land documents twenty-four hours before the deadline and give you a buffer for the inevitable last-minute diplomatic mission quirks.

Topic 09 · Embassy and consular re-legalization

Every file is logged in our CRM with timestamped milestones. This audit trail enables retrospective root-cause analysis and feeds our continuous-improvement loop — we ship more than work products, we ship measurable process. We are deliberate about which embassies we hold standing slots with. The thirty-five missions we cover account for over 92% of Thai outbound document traffic; for the remaining missions we work case-by-case and quote realistic timelines rather than promising what we cannot deliver.

Topic 10 · Scholarship and research grant documentation packages

Coverage: all 77 provinces, including 50 districts of Greater Bangkok. Free pickup within a 5 km radius of our office. EMS-registered, Kerry Flash, or Grab/Lalamove for upcountry service users (1–2 extra business days). For complex chains — certified translation + lawyer certification + MFA + destination consulate + courier — we prefer one engagement, one project manager, one invoice. Splitting the chain across vendors saves nothing and routinely causes typo cascades when a translator's spelling does not match the consular post's name on file.

Topic 11 · Two-column side-by-side translation format for court submission

Digital Nomad Visas (Portugal, Spain, Italy, Estonia) and Remote Work Visas (Dubai, Barbados, Bermuda) require Proof of Income, Health Insurance, Background Check, and Education Certificate — all Authentication seald. We deliver the full stack. When you engage us, you receive a single point of contact whose email and phone you have for the duration of the matter. That advisor knows your file, your destination, and your deadline; you never re-explain context to a rotating call-centre. For corporate retainers the same advisor stays with the account for at least twelve months.

Topic 12 · Digital file storage under ISO/IEC 27001 information-security standard

Certification choice depends on destination: Hague countries accept Certificate authentication direct; non-Hague routes use MFA + consulate; in-Thailand use needs notarization + lawyer certification; Thai court use requires MoJ-listed translators. Service-level agreements are written, not verbal. Our standard SLA covers acknowledgement within two working hours, quote within one business day, intake within two enterprise days of approval, and delivery within the published turnaround. Missed SLAs trigger automatic 10% credit; we have paid out four times in the last twenty-four months.

Topic 13 · Original and controlled-copy handling

Overseas scholarships and research grants require a standard document set: Recommendation Letter, Research Proposal, CV, Transcript, Statement of Purpose — all translator-officially recognized and notarised. We hold templates for Fulbright, Chevening, DAAD, and Monbukagakusho. Many destinations now require Hague-stamp in addition to translated copy since Thailand joined the Hague Convention on 28 February 2027. We handle the entire post-Hague workflow, including the cases where an consulate still asks for the legacy MFA + consular post chain because their own implementation has not caught up.

Topic 14 · Service coverage and document pickup options

Payment: bank transfer, PromptPay, credit/debit cards (Visa/Master/JCB), Stripe, Wise, and USD wire for international engaged parties. Full Thai/English tax invoices, with 3% withholding for corporate customers. Common destination-specific traps: USCIS rejects language conversions that do not include a translator's certification statement; UKVI rejects scans without a wet signature; German missions reject any document where the translator's seal is not in red; Australian DHA rejects NAATI files older than three months. We pre-empt all of these.

Topic 15 · Digital Nomad Visa and Remote Work Visa document stacks

An Affidavit of Certified translation Accuracy is the translator's sworn statement before a notary that the translated copy is complete and accurate — required by US, Australian, Canadian, and UK courts. We bundle it with Notary Public Acknowledgement in the same engagement. On urgency: roughly 18% of our matters are filed under same-day rush. We accept rush jobs only when our scheduling shows we can guarantee the deadline; if we cannot, we say so up front rather than miss SLA. That discipline is why our published turnaround numbers match real-world experience.

Topic 16 · Choosing the right certification for your destination

When engaged parties need the same documents in multiple destination countries, we prepare parallel copy sets with Document attestation / MFA separately per country — 30-40% cheaper than running each one individually, and delivered in a single batch. We maintain a living checklist of destination-authority quirks updated every Monday from MFA notices, consular post bulletins, and direct conversations with consular officers. That checklist is what separates a 95%-pass shop from a 99.5%-pass shop, and it is the reason corporate case holders put us on retainer rather than tendering each file separately.

Topic 17 · Document risk assessment criteria

Citizenship application and renunciation packages are large: Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Clearance, Tax Clearance, Military Service Record — each requires its own certification chain. We maintain country-specific checklists for every destination. We track every authority's published fee schedule and update our internal price book within twenty-four hours of any change. Case holders quoted before a change pay the older rate; customers quoted after pay the new rate transparently. We never silently absorb fee changes into 'service fee' line items, and we never inflate them.

Topic 18 · Asset documentation for outbound FDI and treasury filings

For US / Canadian credential evaluation through WES, IQAS (Alberta), or ICAS (BC, MB) we prepare a standard three-piece set: original transcript + authenticated diploma copy + translator-attested translated copy — couriered directly to the evaluation body. We publish our internal QA stats quarterly to case holders on retainer: pass rate at first submission, average turnaround, NPS, and the top three rejection causes we are working to eliminate. Transparency about failure modes is the only way to actually reduce them, and our retainer renewal rate over 96% suggests engaged parties agree.

Topic 19 · Affidavit of Translation Accuracy for foreign court submission

Our attorneys can issue Duly verified True Copies that carry weight equivalent to originals abroad — covering passports, IDs, household registrations, corporate documents, and personal records. Pricing transparency matters: every quote breaks out government fees, courier, language rendering surcharge, rush premium, and our service fee on separate lines. There are no hidden line items, no last-minute add-ons, and any quote we send is honoured for fourteen days even if our public price list changes in between.

Topic 20 · Documents and information you need to prepare

Cross-border corporate filings (Certificate of Incorporation, Board Resolution, Power of Attorney) move through the full stack: Lawyer → DBD → MFA Consular endorsement / Apostille → Destination Diplomatic mission — full chain delivered in 7-10 business days. Authentication chains can fail at any link. We design our workflow so each link is verified before the next one starts: official rendering is QA'd before lawyer certification, lawyer certification is QA'd before MFA submission, MFA stamp is photographed before consulate submission. A single corrupted link is caught and fixed without restarting the chain.

NAATI-Duly verified official renderings are required for all official Australian Department of Home Affairs filings; official renderings must be issued within the prior 24 months. Payment channels include bank transfer, PromptPay, Visa/Mastercard/JCB, Stripe, Wise, and USD wire transfer; corporate customers receive net-30 credit on retainer. Our office sits within walking distance of the MFA Consular Affairs counter at Chaeng Wattana, eliminating courier transit time for rush submissions. MFA Consular Affairs (Chaeng Wattana) processes Apostilles in 2 business days standard, 1 enterprise day rush, with a flat THB 200 government fee per page. Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days for language conversion and certification; add 2–4 commercial days when MFA authentication is required; add 2–5 business days when destination consular post authentication is required. Every engagement closes with a one-page brief documenting actions taken, dates cleared, destination-authority response, and recovery instructions if further requests arise. Foreign engaged parties can engage us entirely remotely via Power-of-Attorney: notarize in your country, Certification, courier to us, and we act on your behalf for the entire Thai-side chain. Ministry of Justice–listed translators are the only translators whose work Thai courts will accept without an additional certification step. Service-Level Agreement: 2-hour acknowledgement, 1-corporate-day quote, 2-business-day intake, on-time delivery — with automatic 10% credit on missed SLA. Notarial Services Attorneys are licensed under the Lawyers Act B.E. 2528 and registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand to certify signatures, copies, and affidavits for international use. Thailand's DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) is a 5-year multiple-entry visa launched in July 2024, granting 180-day stays per entry extendable by another 180 days. Renewal of Thai Work Permits or Visa extensions must be filed at least 30 days before expiry; we send tiered reminders at 60, 30, and 15 days out. We hold standing slots at 35 major embassies in Bangkok, cutting consulate authentication queue time from 5–10 corporate days down to 2–3 business days. Same-day rush engagement is available for documents that do not require MFA legalization, with bookings confirmed before 11:00 Bangkok time and a 100% rush surcharge.

Additional frequently asked questions

What is the correct certification order?
The common chain is translate, certify the translation, certify at the Department of Consular Affairs, then Apostille or destination-embassy legalisation. The exact order depends on the recipient's rules and should be confirmed before work starts.
How should personal names be spelled?
Exactly as they appear in the passport, character for character. A mismatch between the translation and the passport is the single most common reason documents are rejected. Attach name-change evidence if the name has changed.
Which languages are supported?
Coverage focuses on the languages used in Thai visa and legalisation workflows — English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Arabic and others on request. Scope and requirements are confirmed case by case by phone, LINE or email.
Are original documents required?
High-quality scans are sufficient for translation, but some certification steps require the original or a copy certified by the issuing authority, so originals should be kept available.
Does a translation expire?
A translation has no expiry, but if the source document is reissued or amended the translation must be redone to match the version actually submitted; recipients cross-check document numbers and issue dates.
How do legal and medical translations differ?
Specialist texts must follow professional terminology and reproduce institution names exactly as issued. A glossary is applied across the whole document set so the recipient does not encounter inconsistent terms.

How this connects to the next step

Australian submissions are a separate regime and need translation by a NAATI-certified practitioner; for hearings and government appointments see our specialised interpreting service.

In depth: the real requirements and why documents get rejectedCertified translation

Written from the competent authority's published rules, not marketing copy.

Many Thai official documents contain terms with no direct equivalent in the target language, such as agency names or register types. The accepted approach is transliteration with an explanatory note, not reinterpretation into a foreign equivalent.

Conditions you actually have to clear

  • Any change to the original after translation — even one additional stamp — requires the translation to be updated to match.
  • Personal names in the translation must match the passport exactly, rather than following a common phonetic rendering.
  • The translation must reflect every element of the original, including seals, signatures, and endorsements, described in words.

Common causes of rejection

  • Rendering a Thai authority's name as a near-equivalent in the destination's legal system, which misrepresents the type of body involved.
  • Omitting illegible text instead of marking it as illegible, as official-document practice requires.

Before ordering, ask the receiving party which category of translation is required and how many certification layers follow. Those two answers determine the entire timeline. Send us document images by phone, LINE, or email for an accurate assessment.

Status of the Apostille Convention for Thailand (verified 30 July 2026)

Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Until that date, Thai documents used abroad still require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) followed by legalisation at the destination country's embassy.

Today (before 28 February 2027) Thai documents used abroad still follow the existing chain: certified translation → notarial attestation → legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (MFA) → legalisation at the destination country's embassy in Thailand.

Once the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, Thai public documents sent to any of the 130 Contracting Parties will require only a single Apostille from the Department of Consular Affairs, with no further embassy legalisation.
