Why a Thai Notarial Services Attorney?
Thailand is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. This means that documents executed in Thailand for use abroad — or foreign documents brought into Thailand for legal use — must go through a different legalization chain than countries with Apostille.
The Thai equivalent of a Notary Public is the Notarial Services Attorney, licensed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand under royal decree. Only attorneys who pass the official notarial examination and hold an active license may notarize documents for international use.

Yes. A Thai Notarial Services Attorney signs and seals the document, then the Thailand MFA legalizes it, then the US Embassy in Bangkok attests it. Bring the draft POA (or we prepare one in UK form), sign in front of our notary, then we route through MFA + UK Embassy Bangkok. The UK does not require an Apostille from Thailand because Thailand is non-Hague — embassy attestation is the accepted equivalent. Turnaround 5–10 business days.

Thailand has not joined the Hague Apostille Convention. Therefore documents executed in Thailand cannot receive an Apostille — they must instead go through Thai notary → MFA Chaeng Watthana → destination country embassy in Bangkok. EU embassies (DE, FR, IT, ES, NL) accept this chain as the legal equivalent.
🇮🇳 Indian / 🇸🇦 GCCDo I need MEA / MOFA attestation in addition to Thai legalization?
Yes for documents originating in Thailand and intended for India or GCC countries: after Thai notary + Thai MFA, you also need attestation at the destination embassy in Bangkok (Indian Embassy / Saudi Embassy / UAE Embassy etc.). For documents originating in India/GCC and used in Thailand, MEA/MOFA attestation must be done first in the origin country, then re-attested by the Thai MFA.
