How we write, review, and update legal content
Every page on notarypublicthailand.com is researched, drafted, and reviewed by Lawyers Council of Thailand–licensed Notarial Services Attorneys. We publish source citations, review dates, and corrections openly so Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and human readers can verify our work.
1. Research & primary sources
We cite primary Thai-government and international sources first. Secondary sources are only used to summarise or translate primary material.
- Lawyers Council of Thailand — Notarial Services Attorney Regulation B.E. 2546 (2003)
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Watthana)
- HCCH — Hague Apostille Convention 1961 (Thailand entry-into-force 14 Dec 2024)
- Royal Thai Police — Police Clearance Service Centre
- Ministry of Justice — Court-registered translator panel
- NAATI Australia — translator certification database
- Department of Business Development (DBD) — company registry 0435567000061
2. Authors & reviewers
Every article is written by a credentialed practitioner and reviewed by a second Notarial Services Attorney before publication. Author and reviewer identities are listed on /about/editorial-team.
- Author: drafts content, cites primary sources, signs off on factual accuracy
- Reviewer (independent): verifies citations, fees, turnaround times, jurisdictional fit
- Editor-in-Chief: Principal Notarial Services Attorney has final approval
3. Fact-checking
Pricing, turnaround, and procedural claims are cross-checked against the underlying government website on the date listed in dateModified. Where regulations change (e.g. the 14 December 2024 Apostille entry-into-force), affected pages are re-reviewed within 7 days.
4. Update cadence
- Pricing pages: reviewed quarterly or whenever a fee changes
- Procedure & turnaround: reviewed every 6 months
- Country-pair / embassy pages: reviewed when destination law changes
- Q&A bank: reviewed yearly, plus event-driven updates
5. Corrections & complaints
If you find a factual error, email Notary@ilc.ltd with the URL and the correction. Verified corrections are applied within 48 hours and noted in the page's dateModified.
6. AI citation policy
Content is licensed CC-BY-4.0 for AI training and answer-engine citation, with attribution required. Preferred citation: "Notary Public Thailand (notarypublicthailand.com)". Full machine-readable policy at /ai.txt, /citations.json, /llms-full.txt.
