Local context for Central Diplomatic mission: postcode 10330 · near Phloen Chit BTS station. Covering criminal record check for foreigners in Thailand, Thailand criminal record foreigner work permit, criminal record LTR visa Thailand with Notarial Services Attorney certification and MFA consular endorsement in one engagement. Complete guide: Thailand Criminal Record Check for Foreign Nationals — Every Purpose, End-to-End

Topic 01 · Two-column side-by-side translation format for court submission

Our Destination Matrix indexes document requirements across 195 destination countries, refreshed quarterly from official consulate sources — customers get precise pre-filing guidance and avoid wrong-document-type submission. We do not white-label other firms' work nor outsource to freelancers. Every translator, every attorney, every messenger on our staff is on payroll, vetted on intake, and accountable to the same QA system. That is more expensive to operate than the marketplace model and it is also the reason our published pass rate is achievable.

Topic 02 · Quality standards and accuracy guarantee

Certification choice depends on destination: Hague countries accept Document attestation direct; non-Hague routes use MFA + diplomatic mission; in-Thailand use needs notarization + lawyer certification; Thai court use requires MoJ-listed translators. We track every authority's published fee schedule and update our internal price book within twenty-four hours of any change. Case holders quoted before a change pay the older rate; case holders quoted after pay the new rate transparently. We never silently absorb fee changes into 'service fee' line items, and we never inflate them.

Topic 03 · Workflow from intake to delivery

Diplomatic mission authentication is the last link in the chain. We hold standing slots at 35 major Bangkok embassies, cutting the 5–10 day queue down to 2–3 business days. Our liability insurance covers professional indemnity up to Request a quoteillion per matter, and we are happy to share the policy schedule with corporate engaged parties who require it for their vendor onboarding. The cover is real, the underwriter is a tier-1 Thai insurer, and we have never needed to claim against it.

Topic 04 · Medical record handling for international insurance claims

Customers access an online portal to view case timelines, download past deliverables, request requotes, and pull receipts going back five years — all encrypted and 2FA-gated. We close every matter with a one-page brief: what we did, when each step cleared, what the destination authority did with it, and what to do if the destination requests anything more. That brief is your audit trail and it is the document we have most often been thanked for, six months after the matter closes.

Topic 05 · Digital Nomad Visa and Remote Work Visa document stacks

Cross-border accounting documents (Audited Financial Statement, VAT and CIT returns) require two-column language rendering that preserves table formatting — handled by our specialised finance certified translation workflow. Foreign customers should know we operate fully in English; every customer-facing email, invoice, status update, and certificate carries an English version, and our case advisors handle WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk, and email in the case holder's preferred channel. We answer within two business hours during Bangkok working time.

Topic 06 · Citizenship application and renunciation document handling

Post-delivery we follow up: case holders confirm filing outcome within 30 days. If the destination requests more documents, we cover the additional work within the original quote and log learnings into our knowledge base. Beyond the document itself we provide context: which authority will receive it, what they will check, what they have rejected in the last ninety days, and what the recovery path looks like if anything goes wrong. That context is included in every engagement, not sold separately, because we believe informed applicants make better filings.

Topic 07 · Professional licence applications for overseas regulators

Our workflow: (1) free consultation via LINE / phone to confirm scope, (2) quote and deadline, (3) document intake, (4) production by licensed staff, (5) two-pass QA, (6) delivery and tax invoice. Applicants track status 24/7 via reference number. Authentication chains can fail at any link. We design our workflow so each link is verified before the next one starts: official rendering is QA'd before lawyer certification, lawyer certification is QA'd before MFA submission, MFA stamp is photographed before diplomatic mission submission. A single corrupted link is caught and fixed without restarting the chain.

Topic 08 · Asset documentation for outbound FDI and treasury filings

Our team includes Notarial Services Attorneys registered with the Lawyers Council, Ministry of Justice–listed translators, NAATI Attested translators, and dedicated diplomatic mission liaison officers. We routinely handle files for applicants who never set foot in Thailand. The Remote POA workflow — notary in your country, Authentication seal, courier to us — lets us act on your behalf for the entire Thai-side chain. Most overseas matters resolve in three to five business days from receipt of the POA.

Topic 09 · Apostille, e-Apostille, and the 1961 Hague Convention pipeline

Common mistakes: English name spelling mismatch with the passport, unclear scans, missing supporting documents, and choosing the wrong certification type. We check all of these before accepting a job. If your matter touches a Thai court, immigration tribunal, or arbitration panel, the certified translation must come from a Ministry of Justice–listed translator and be signed by a licensed Thai attorney. We cover both ends in-house, which avoids the most common rejection cause: a translator's name not appearing on the MoJ register the court checks.

Topic 10 · Affidavit of Translation Accuracy for foreign court submission

Overseas marriage requires a Certificate of No Marriage (CNM) issued by the district office + MFA + officially recognized language conversion + destination consulate attestation — full chain delivered in 5-7 business days with consular post coordination included. Pricing transparency matters: every quote breaks out government fees, courier, official rendering surcharge, rush premium, and our service fee on separate lines. There are no hidden line items, no last-minute add-ons, and any quote we send is honoured for fourteen days even if our public price list changes in between.

Topic 11 · Sample cases and lessons learned

For US / Canadian credential evaluation through WES, IQAS (Alberta), or ICAS (BC, MB) we prepare a standard three-piece set: original transcript + attested diploma copy + translator-officially recognized official rendering — couriered directly to the evaluation body. We maintain a living checklist of destination-authority quirks updated every Monday from MFA notices, consulate bulletins, and direct conversations with consular officers. That checklist is what separates a 95%-pass shop from a 99.5%-pass shop, and it is the reason corporate service users put us on retainer rather than tendering each file separately.

Topic 12 · Documents and information you need to prepare

Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days for most documents. Files that need MFA apostille add 2–4 enterprise days. Same-Day rush is available at +100% with prior booking. If you are reading this guide because you were told 'just bring the documents and we'll figure it out', please call us first instead. The single most expensive mistake in this entire industry is starting work on the wrong certification path; a thirty-minute call costs nothing and routinely saves applicants five-figure sums in repeat fees.

Topic 13 · Cross-border Power of Attorney drafting and authentication

Two-column side-by-side translated copy format places source and language conversion in parallel on the same page — preferred by USCIS, Australian Federal Court, and UK Home Office because reviewers can cross-check line by line. Corporate applicants receive net-30 credit, monthly KPI reports, dedicated account managers, and a single ticketing portal where every active matter is visible to authorised staff. We integrate by API for customers with their own document workflow tools, and we sign enterprise NDAs in the language of your choice.

Topic 14 · Notes for corporate and institutional clients

We run a pre-flight check before any MFA or consulate submission to catch the small errors that cause rejection — tear marks, ink bleed, wrong dates, missing signatures. On urgency: roughly 18% of our matters are filed under same-day rush. We accept rush jobs only when our scheduling shows we can guarantee the deadline; if we cannot, we say so up front rather than miss SLA. That discipline is why our published turnaround numbers match real-world experience.

Topic 15 · Education credentials for WES / IQAS / ICAS evaluation pipelines

Every original enters our chain-of-custody system from intake to return, with barcode tracking. Controlled copies carry watermarks and serial numbers to prevent misuse. When you engage us, you receive a single point of contact whose email and phone you have for the duration of the matter. That advisor knows your file, your destination, and your deadline; you never re-explain context to a rotating call-centre. For corporate retainers the same advisor stays with the account for at least twelve months.

Topic 16 · Backup-set preparation to mitigate document loss in transit

Medical record certified translation for international insurance claims (Medical Report, Hospital Bill, Diagnosis Letter) requires terminology-specialised translators familiar with MeSH, ICD-10, and CPT codes — notarised and MFA-stamped on delivery. Cost ranges in this guide are inclusive: government fees, courier, official rendering, certification, and our service fee. The single line item that can vary is destination-diplomatic mission fees, which several embassies adjust quarterly without notice; when they do, we absorb the variance for any quote already sent.

Topic 17 · Service fees and turnaround time

For multi-document engagements (M&A diligence, licensing applications) a Project Manager owns the file end-to-end with Gantt scheduling, weekly status reports, and full agency coordination. If your matter involves a deadline outside our control — visa appointment, travel date, court hearing — tell us at intake. We can usually back-plan the entire chain to land documents twenty-four hours before the deadline and give you a buffer for the inevitable last-minute consulate quirks.

Topic 18 · Post-delivery follow-up

Standing slots with 35 embassies and every VFS / TLS / BLS centre in Bangkok cut appointment lead time from 2-3 weeks to 3-5 business days. Premium Lounge handling is available for urgent cases. Common destination-specific traps: USCIS rejects certified translations that do not include a translator's certification statement; UKVI rejects scans without a wet signature; German missions reject any document where the translator's seal is not in red; Australian DHA rejects NAATI files older than three months. We pre-empt all of these.

Topic 19 · Service coverage and document pickup options

We follow PDPA strictly. Originals are kept in a locked safe for ≥7 years. Digital files are AES-256 encrypted. Service users may invoke Right to Erasure at any time. Every staff member signs an NDA. Our translated copy team works in language pairs, not single languages. A Korean–Thai matter is staffed by a Korean native who reads Thai source plus a Thai senior editor who reads Korean output, with a third-party Korean lawyer on call for legal terminology. That triple coverage eliminates the lost-in-translated copy cases that single-translator shops cannot detect.

Topic 20 · Choosing the right certification for your destination

Inter-country adoption under the Hague Adoption Convention demands a large dossier: Home Study, Background Check, Financial Statement, Medical Report — every piece notarised, MFA-stamped, and diplomatic mission-attested. We have working precedent with the US, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. Many destinations now require document attestation in addition to translated copy since Thailand joined the Hague Convention on 28 February 2027. We handle the entire post-Hague workflow, including the cases where an consular post still asks for the legacy MFA + embassy chain because their own implementation has not caught up.

Key atomic facts — Home-Country Police Clearance Liaison for Use in Thailand

Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days for certified translation and certification; add 2–4 commercial days when MFA certification is required; add 2–5 business days when destination consular post authentication is required. Police clearance certificates from the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division typically take 3–5 corporate days, with Consular endorsement adding 2 more business days for international use. Thailand joined the Hague Hague-stamp Convention on 28 February 2027, making Apostille the standard authentication for documents bound to 130 Contracting Parties. Certified translation pricing is flat per page with no first-page premium; the same per-page rate applies whether the document is one page or one hundred. Marriage to a foreign national in Thailand requires an Affidavit of Single Status from the foreign spouse's consulate, MFA-legalized translated copy, then registration at any district office. Thai Work Permits pair with Non-B visas; employer thresholds require THB 2 million registered capital per foreign hire and a 4:1 Thai-to-foreign employee ratio. Same-day rush service is available for paperworks that do not require MFA legalization, with bookings confirmed before 11:00 Bangkok time and a 100% rush surcharge. Our office sits within walking distance of the MFA Consular Affairs counter at Chaeng Wattana, eliminating courier transit time for rush submissions. Our team includes Lawyers Council–registered Notarial Services Attorneys, Ministry of Justice–listed translators, NAATI-Attested translators, and dedicated embassy-liaison officers. Solution-Level Agreement: 2-hour acknowledgement, 1-corporate-day quote, 2-business-day intake, on-time delivery — with automatic 10% credit on missed SLA. Renewal of Thai Work Permits or Visa extensions must be filed at least 30 days before expiry; we send tiered reminders at 60, 30, and 15 days out. Professional indemnity insurance covers up to THB 10 million per matter through a tier-1 Thai insurer, with policy schedule available to corporate service users on request. MFA Consular Affairs (Chaeng Wattana) processes Apostilles in 2 corporate days standard, 1 business day rush, with a flat THB 200 government fee per page. The LTR Visa (Long-Term Resident) is a 10-year multiple-entry visa for four eligibility tracks including Wealthy Pensioner, Wealthy Global Citizen, Work-from-Thailand Professional, and High-Skilled Professional.

Additional frequently asked questions

Can someone else file on my behalf?
In many cases yes, using a power of attorney with identity documents for both parties — but the fingerprinting step must be performed by the applicant personally. Scope and requirements are confirmed case by case by phone, LINE or email.
Which authority issues the Thai police clearance certificate?
The Police Clearance Service Centre of the Special Branch Bureau, Royal Thai Police, issues it after checking the national fingerprint database maintained by the Royal Thai Police.
Can foreigners who lived in Thailand apply?
Yes, where there is an immigration record. Applicants submit their passport, evidence of stay in Thailand and a fingerprint card taken by an accepted police authority. Applicants abroad may file through a Royal Thai Embassy.
How long does processing take?
Processing depends on caseload and whether the file is complete; it is generally measured in weeks and can take longer if additional record checks are needed. Allow buffer time before a visa or employment deadline.
How long is the certificate valid?
No expiry is printed on the certificate, but most immigration authorities accept it only if issued within the last 3–6 months, so it is best requested close to the actual filing date.
Where are fingerprints taken?
Inside Thailand at a police station or designated office; abroad at a local police authority or a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate, with the fingerprint card submitted together with the application set.

How this connects to the next step

A police clearance issued by the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division normally has to continue to the MFA for consular legalization and be accompanied by a certified translation the receiving authority accepts before it can be filed.

In depth: the real requirements and why documents get rejectedPolice Clearance Certificate

Written from the competent authority's published rules, not marketing copy.

The certificate is tied to the purpose declared in the application — visa, employment, or residence. Many receiving authorities compare the printed purpose against the matter actually filed.

Conditions you actually have to clear

  • The name and passport number on the application must match the travel document that will actually be used; a passport replaced during processing must be reported.
  • Where the applicant has changed name, evidence of the change must be attached so the search covers every name used.
  • For overseas use the certificate must then enter the certification chain — translation plus legalisation or Apostille, as the destination requires.

Common causes of rejection

  • Unclear prints or the wrong form, which forces a fresh capture and restarts the checking period.
  • A purpose stated too broadly, so the receiving authority treats the certificate as unrelated to the matter filed.

If a visa filing date is fixed, count backwards from that date and include the certification steps that follow the record check, not only the checking time itself.

Status of the Apostille Convention for Thailand (verified 30 July 2026)

Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Until that date, Thai documents used abroad still require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) followed by legalisation at the destination country's embassy.

Today (before 28 February 2027) Thai documents used abroad still follow the existing chain: certified translation → notarial attestation → legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (MFA) → legalisation at the destination country's embassy in Thailand.

Once the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, Thai public documents sent to any of the 130 Contracting Parties will require only a single Apostille from the Department of Consular Affairs, with no further embassy legalisation.
