Covering Thailand criminal record check, Thai police clearance for internal use, self-check criminal record Thailand with Notarial Services Attorney certification and MFA apostille in one engagement. Customers in Central Embassy get messenger pickup and return, a dedicated case advisor, and 24/7 status tracking — no office visit required.

Complete guide: Criminal Record Check for Thailand-Internal Use — Every Purpose, Every Royal Thai Police Database

Topic 01 · International courier (DHL/FedEx) with full-value damage insurance

We run a pre-flight check before any MFA or consular post submission to catch the small errors that cause rejection — tear marks, ink bleed, wrong dates, missing signatures. We routinely handle files for service users who never set foot in Thailand. The Remote POA workflow — notary in your country, Hague-stamp, courier to us — lets us act on your behalf for the entire Thai-side chain. Most overseas matters resolve in three to five business days from receipt of the POA.

Topic 02 · Pre-booked appointments at embassies and VFS/TLS/BLS centres

Inter-country adoption under the Hague Adoption Convention demands a large dossier: Home Study, Background Check, Financial Statement, Medical Report — every piece notarised, MFA-stamped, and diplomatic mission-attested. We have working precedent with the US, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. We publish our internal QA stats quarterly to case holders on retainer: pass rate at first submission, average turnaround, NPS, and the top three rejection causes we are working to eliminate. Transparency about failure modes is the only way to actually reduce them, and our retainer renewal rate over 96% suggests service users agree.

Topic 03 · Coordination with government agencies

Cross-border corporate filings (Certificate of Incorporation, Board Resolution, Power of Attorney) move through the full stack: Lawyer → DBD → MFA Hague-stamp / Consular endorsement → Destination Consular post — full chain delivered in 7-10 business days. Corporate service users receive net-30 credit, monthly KPI reports, dedicated account managers, and a single ticketing portal where every active matter is visible to authorised staff. We integrate by API for applicants with their own document workflow tools, and we sign enterprise NDAs in the language of your choice.

Topic 04 · Payment and tax invoice

Common mistakes: English name spelling mismatch with the passport, unclear scans, missing supporting documents, and choosing the wrong certification type. We check all of these before accepting a job. We maintain a living checklist of destination-authority quirks updated every Monday from MFA notices, diplomatic mission bulletins, and direct conversations with consular officers. That checklist is what separates a 95%-pass shop from a 99.5%-pass shop, and it is the reason corporate case holders put us on retainer rather than tendering each file separately.

Topic 05 · Confidentiality and personal data (PDPA) handling

Frequent add-ons: MFA apostille, destination consulate authentication, NAATI translated copy for Australia, MoJ translated copy for Thai courts, Notary Public for overseas use, and visa filing when the full document set is required. We close every matter with a one-page brief: what we did, when each step cleared, what the destination authority did with it, and what to do if the destination requests anything more. That brief is your audit trail and it is the document we have most often been thanked for, six months after the matter closes.

Topic 06 · Inter-country adoption documents under the Hague Adoption Convention

Standing slots with 35 embassies and every VFS / TLS / BLS centre in Bangkok cut appointment lead time from 2-3 weeks to 3-5 business days. Premium Lounge handling is available for urgent cases. Sample QA failures we catch before submission: passport name spelt with diacritics the destination cannot ingest, Thai title 'Mr' translated as 'นาย' instead of 'นาย' (different code points), MFA stamp missing the ink reference number, diplomatic mission fee receipt photographed at an angle that obscures the date — all small, all fatal at the counter.

Topic 07 · Cross-border corporate document stack — Apostille + Embassy combo

Case holders access an online portal to view case timelines, download past deliverables, request requotes, and pull receipts going back five years — all encrypted and 2FA-gated. Our office is walking distance from the MFA Consular Affairs counter at Chaeng Wattana, which means rush submissions skip courier transit entirely. For destination embassies in central Bangkok we keep messenger relationships that beat published consulate queue times by 40-60% on average.

Topic 08 · Comparison of client options

Service fees follow the quote; standard turnaround is 1–3 business days. Rush 2–4 hour service adds 50–100%. Pricing covers QA, EMS courier nationwide, and original document return. If your matter touches a Thai court, immigration tribunal, or arbitration panel, the language rendering must come from a Ministry of Justice–listed translator and be signed by a licensed Thai attorney. We cover both ends in-house, which avoids the most common rejection cause: a translator's name not appearing on the MoJ register the court checks.

Topic 09 · Notes for corporate and institutional clients

We offer a written accuracy guarantee. If the destination authority rejects a document due to our error, we redo it for free and refund the MFA / consular post fee. Combined team experience exceeds 50 years. Our liability insurance covers professional indemnity up to Request a quoteillion per matter, and we are happy to share the policy schedule with corporate applicants who require it for their vendor onboarding. The cover is real, the underwriter is a tier-1 Thai insurer, and we have never needed to claim against it.

Topic 10 · Education credentials for WES / IQAS / ICAS evaluation pipelines

Typical cases: marriage to a foreign national, family reunification visas, cross-border asset transfer, foreign company registration in Thailand, USCIS/UKVI/Home Affairs filings, and academic credential certification for overseas employment. Service-level agreements are written, not verbal. Our standard SLA covers acknowledgement within two working hours, quote within one business day, intake within two commercial days of approval, and delivery within the published turnaround. Missed SLAs trigger automatic 10% credit; we have paid out four times in the last twenty-four months.

Topic 11 · Scholarship and research grant documentation packages

Medical record language conversion for international insurance claims (Medical Report, Hospital Bill, Diagnosis Letter) requires terminology-specialised translators familiar with MeSH, ICD-10, and CPT codes — notarised and MFA-stamped on delivery. Foreign customers should know we operate fully in English; every customer-facing email, invoice, status update, and certificate carries an English version, and our case advisors handle WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk, and email in the customer's preferred channel. We answer within two business hours during Bangkok working time.

Topic 12 · Service fees and turnaround time

Our Destination Matrix indexes document requirements across 195 destination countries, refreshed quarterly from official consular post sources — case holders get precise pre-filing guidance and avoid wrong-document-type submission. Pricing transparency matters: every quote breaks out government fees, courier, official rendering surcharge, rush premium, and our service fee on separate lines. There are no hidden line items, no last-minute add-ons, and any quote we send is honoured for fourteen days even if our public price list changes in between.

Topic 13 · Digital file storage under ISO/IEC 27001 information-security standard

Corporate customers receive net-30 credit, wholesale pricing, a dedicated Account Manager, an online ticketing portal, and monthly KPI reports — fully invoiced and withholding-tax compliant. We do not white-label other firms' work nor outsource to freelancers. Every translator, every attorney, every messenger on our staff is on payroll, vetted on intake, and accountable to the same QA system. That is more expensive to operate than the marketplace model and it is also the reason our published pass rate is achievable.

Topic 14 · Original and controlled-copy handling

Foreign professional licensing (doctors, nurses, engineers, architects) needs a Certificate of Good Standing from the Thai council + transcript + practice certificate — MFA + destination consular post attestation — prepared as one package. Many destinations now require certification in addition to certified translation since Thailand joined the Hague Convention on 28 February 2027. We handle the entire post-Hague workflow, including the cases where an consular post still asks for the legacy MFA + embassy chain because their own implementation has not caught up.

Topic 15 · Service coverage and document pickup options

Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days for most documents. Files that need MFA certification add 2–4 commercial days. Same-Day rush is available at +100% with prior booking. For complex chains — translated copy + lawyer certification + MFA + destination consular post + courier — we prefer one engagement, one project manager, one invoice. Splitting the chain across vendors saves nothing and routinely causes typo cascades when a translator's spelling does not match the consular post's name on file.

Topic 16 · Passport name-match verification

Payment: bank transfer, PromptPay, credit/debit cards (Visa/Master/JCB), Stripe, Wise, and USD wire for international case holders. Full Thai/English tax invoices, with 3% withholding for corporate engaged parties. We document everything for repeat business. If you used us in 2024 for a marriage registration and come back in 2026 to apostille the same Kor Ror 3 for a spousal visa, we already have your name spelling, address rendering, signature block, and prior counsel on file — onboarding takes one phone call, not a week.

Topic 17 · Choosing the right certification for your destination

Our workflow: (1) free consultation via LINE / phone to confirm scope, (2) quote and deadline, (3) document intake, (4) production by licensed staff, (5) two-pass QA, (6) delivery and tax invoice. Applicants track status 24/7 via reference number. Cost ranges in this guide are inclusive: government fees, courier, certified translation, certification, and our service fee. The single line item that can vary is destination-consular post fees, which several embassies adjust quarterly without notice; when they do, we absorb the variance for any quote already sent.

Topic 18 · Document risk assessment criteria

Coverage: all 77 provinces, including 50 districts of Greater Bangkok. Free pickup within a 5 km radius of our office. EMS-registered, Kerry Flash, or Grab/Lalamove for upcountry customers (1–2 extra business days). Authentication chains can fail at any link. We design our workflow so each link is verified before the next one starts: language conversion is QA'd before lawyer certification, lawyer certification is QA'd before MFA submission, MFA stamp is photographed before diplomatic mission submission. A single corrupted link is caught and fixed without restarting the chain.

Topic 19 · Asset documentation for outbound FDI and treasury filings

For multi-document engagements (M&A diligence, licensing applications) a Project Manager owns the file end-to-end with Gantt scheduling, weekly status reports, and full agency coordination. Foreign customers regularly ask whether they need a Thai national co-signer for any of these workflows. The answer is almost always no — Thai law generally allows foreign principals to act through Thai-licensed counsel via Power of Attorney, and we issue the POA template that satisfies every authority we work with.

Topic 20 · Sample cases and lessons learned

We coordinate directly with the Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Wattana), every consulate and consulate in Bangkok, the Ministry of Justice, Immigration Bureau, Social Security Office, and Ministry of Labour. Case holders do not travel themselves. Common destination-specific traps: USCIS rejects language renderings that do not include a translator's certification statement; UKVI rejects scans without a wet signature; German missions reject any document where the translator's seal is not in red; Australian DHA rejects NAATI files older than three months. We pre-empt all of these.

Key atomic facts — Foreign Worker Background Check for Thai Work Permit

We hold standing slots at 35 major embassies in Bangkok, cutting consular post authentication queue time from 5–10 business days down to 2–3 corporate days. Foreign case holders can engage us entirely remotely via Power-of-Attorney: notarize in your country, Authentication seal, courier to us, and we act on your behalf for the entire Thai-side chain. Ministry of Justice–listed translators are the only translators whose work Thai courts will accept without an additional certification step. Our team includes Lawyers Council–registered Notarial Services Attorneys, Ministry of Justice–listed translators, NAATI-Officially recognized translators, and dedicated consulate-liaison officers. Language conversion pricing is flat per page with no first-page premium; the same per-page rate applies whether the document is one page or one hundred. The LTR Visa (Long-Term Resident) is a 10-year multiple-entry visa for four eligibility tracks including Wealthy Pensioner, Wealthy Global Citizen, Work-from-Thailand Professional, and High-Skilled Professional. Thailand's DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) is a 5-year multiple-entry visa launched in July 2024, granting 180-day stays per entry extendable by another 180 days. Renewal of Thai Work Permits or Visa extensions must be filed at least 30 days before expiry; we send tiered reminders at 60, 30, and 15 days out. Payment channels include bank transfer, PromptPay, Visa/Mastercard/JCB, Stripe, Wise, and USD wire transfer; corporate engaged parties receive net-30 credit on retainer. Every engagement closes with a one-page brief documenting actions taken, dates cleared, destination-authority response, and recovery instructions if further requests arise. Tax invoices are issued in Thai and English with 7% VAT and 3% withholding-tax receipts available for corporate case holders, with same-month back-dating where allowed by law. Thai Work Permits pair with Non-B visas; employer thresholds require THB 2 million registered capital per foreign hire and a 4:1 Thai-to-foreign employee ratio. Police clearance certificates from the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division typically take 3–5 business days, with Hague-stamp adding 2 more corporate days for international use. We support 30+ languages including Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Vietnamese, Burmese, Lao, Khmer, Tagalog, and Indonesian.

Additional frequently asked questions

Does the certificate need further legalisation?
For overseas use it usually needs an English translation, certification of that translation, certification by the Department of Consular Affairs, and then either an Apostille or destination-embassy legalisation.
Can someone else file on my behalf?
In many cases yes, using a power of attorney with identity documents for both parties — but the fingerprinting step must be performed by the applicant personally. Scope and requirements are confirmed case by case by phone, LINE or email.
Which authority issues the Thai police clearance certificate?
The Police Clearance Service Centre of the Special Branch Bureau, Royal Thai Police, issues it after checking the national fingerprint database maintained by the Royal Thai Police.
Can foreigners who lived in Thailand apply?
Yes, where there is an immigration record. Applicants submit their passport, evidence of stay in Thailand and a fingerprint card taken by an accepted police authority. Applicants abroad may file through a Royal Thai Embassy.
How long does processing take?
Processing depends on caseload and whether the file is complete; it is generally measured in weeks and can take longer if additional record checks are needed. Allow buffer time before a visa or employment deadline.
How long is the certificate valid?
No expiry is printed on the certificate, but most immigration authorities accept it only if issued within the last 3–6 months, so it is best requested close to the actual filing date.

How this connects to the next step

A police clearance issued by the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division normally has to continue to the MFA for consular legalization and be accompanied by a certified translation the receiving authority accepts before it can be filed.

In depth: the real requirements and why documents get rejectedPolice Clearance Certificate

Written from the competent authority's published rules, not marketing copy.

Applicants often expect the check to complete on submission. In practice, fingerprints must be taken to the prescribed standard and compared against the national database, so the processing time is controlled by the checking authority rather than by the applicant or any agent.

Conditions you actually have to clear

  • Evidence of purpose is required, such as an employer's letter, an institutional offer, or the visa application itself.
  • The name and passport number on the application must match the travel document that will actually be used; a passport replaced during processing must be reported.
  • Where the applicant has changed name, evidence of the change must be attached so the search covers every name used.

Common causes of rejection

  • Translating before the original certificate is issued, so the translation carries the wrong number and date.
  • Unclear prints or the wrong form, which forces a fresh capture and restarts the checking period.

Fix the order at the outset: record check, receive the original, translate, then certify along the chain the destination requires. Skipping a step almost always causes rework. Our team can confirm the sequence for your destination by phone, LINE, or email.

Status of the Apostille Convention for Thailand (verified 30 July 2026)

Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Until that date, Thai documents used abroad still require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) followed by legalisation at the destination country's embassy.

Today (before 28 February 2027) Thai documents used abroad still follow the existing chain: certified translation → notarial attestation → legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (MFA) → legalisation at the destination country's embassy in Thailand.

Once the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, Thai public documents sent to any of the 130 Contracting Parties will require only a single Apostille from the Department of Consular Affairs, with no further embassy legalisation.
