What type of PCC does Switzerland require?
Switzerland requires MFA legalization followed by attestation at the สถานทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์. Every certificate we ship carries the issuing authority's full stamp and signature, certified translation by an MFA-recognized translator, MFA consular legalization, and สถานทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ attestation when required.
Switzerland visas commonly requiring PCC
Permit B/C. All long-stay visas above require a PCC from every country where the applicant lived for 6–12 months or more during the past 5–10 years. Our finished certificate is ready to file immediately after the legalization chain is complete.
Workflow for clients already in Switzerland
(1) Sign and have the PoA legalized at the Thai consulate in Switzerland. (2) Ship originals and copies to our Thailand team. (3) We process the criminal records check, fingerprinting via FBI FD-258 or the Thai consular post. (4) Translation + MFA legalization + สถานทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ attestation. (5) DHL/FedEx ships back to Switzerland in 7–15 days — total 15–30 days from dispatch.
Total cost shipping to Switzerland
Bundled cost shipping to Switzerland ranges THB 6,000–15,000 depending on number of copies, translation language, and legalization level (MFA only vs. สถานทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ attestation). Postage ~ THB 2,500. Request a precise bundled quote anytime.
Difference between the police PCC and MFA / embassy legalization
CRD government fees are THB 100 for the Thai-language certificate and THB 200 for the English version. Standard processing 7–15 business days; express 3–5 days. Our service fee covers document running, off-site fingerprinting, coordination, translation, MFA legalization, and consulate attestation — bundled from THB 4,000 depending on destination country and number of copies.
What the certificate looks like and key fields to verify
The police PCC alone is valid only inside Thailand. To use it overseas, two more steps are required: (1) translation by an MFA-recognized translator, and (2) consular legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs (MFA), then optionally consular post attestation. This is Thailand's legalization chain — Thailand has not joined the Hague Apostille Convention 1961, so true certificate authentication is not available.
Translating the PCC into English and the destination language
An authentic certificate carries the Garuda emblem, the Royal Thai Police logo, the applicant's name in Thai and English, national ID number, date of birth, nationality, purpose of application, the result (clear / not clear with detail), the signature of the Commander of the CRD, and the office's blue seal. The reference number can be verified with the CRD.
MFA consular legalization process at the Department of Consular Affairs
Translation must be done by a translator registered with the MFA Department of Consular Affairs or otherwise recognized by them. The official rendering must mirror the original — dates, reference numbers, signatory name, and result. For Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, or Arabic, we offer in-house translation followed by MFA legalization.
Submitting to the destination embassy and processing times
Consular legalization happens at the MFA Department of Consular Affairs, Chaeng Wattana Road, or its regional branches. The fee is THB 200 per document for standard service (2 business days) or THB 400 for express (1 commercial day). Legalized documents carry the red MFA seal, the legalization officer's signature, and a reference number for verification.
How to appoint our team via Power of Attorney
After MFA, the final step is destination-consulate attestation in Thailand. Each consular post has its own timing, fee, and rules — typically 3–10 business days. Some require online booking; we book and submit on your behalf where embassy rules allow.
