Government Document Translation

Every Thai government document is issued in Thai. To be valid abroad — visas, study, marriage, inheritance, court submissions — three steps are mandatory: (1) translation by a qualified translator, (2) certification by a Notarial Services Attorney, (3) MFA + destination-embassy legalization.

Categories: civil registration (birth, death, house registration, ID, marriage/divorce, name-change, single-status Kor.Ror.2/3); education (transcripts, degrees, credential evaluations); labour (employment letters, social-security records, professional licenses); medical (Medical Council–certified licenses); criminal (Royal Thai Police PCC); and business (DBD company affidavits, BOJ.5, VAT cert., audited financials).

Often-missed point: every English name on a translation must match the passport exactly — one wrong letter and the destination authority will reject it. We check name spelling three times before certifying.

The MFA and every embassy require Notarial Certification by a Lawyers-Council-registered Thai attorney. The Notary seal is the legal proof the translation is faithful — without it, MFA rejects on arrival.

Courts in Germany, France, and Italy require a destination-country sworn translator. We coordinate partner sworn translators end-to-end.

Step 1 — verify the original is issued by the proper authority with full seals and is current. If too old, we re-issue from the district office same-day.

Step 2 — translate, double-review, and lay it out to mirror the original so end-authorities can match it easily.

Step 3 — certified by our Notarial Services Attorney with red seal, signature, and Lawyers-Council registration number — verifiable online.

Step 4 — MFA at Chaeng Watthana — 2 days standard or 1-day Express via our premium channel.

Step 5 — file at the destination embassy. We hold standing slots and know each embassy's quirks — first-pass acceptance.
